An aircraft-rated trench frame and grate assembly is seated on cast-in-place concrete trench walls with a minimum depth of four hundred millimeters and a variable height. The trench walls rest on a concrete footing or base slab set over compacted subgrade. The heavy-duty frame and grate unit must be securely bolted down to the concrete supports with dimensions to be determined per the engineering layout.
