The roof eave construction consists of two by roof framing, plywood roof sheathing, a self-adhering sheet underlayment, and slate shingles terminating at a stainless steel metal flashing with drip edge. Two by wood blocking ripped to size supports the overhang and meets one-inch cement fiber trim and cement fiber lap siding over a sheet water barrier. A three-eighths inch joint is filled with backer rod and sealant above shims and an architectural louver referenced to the louver schedule on sheet U-601.
