The cement concrete sidewalk is constructed with a thickness of four or six inches, increasing to six inches at driveways. The walkway width is five or six feet as specified by notes, maintaining a two percent cross-slope towards the road. A four-inch minimum clearance is maintained to the right-of-way boundary. A quarter-inch premolded joint filler is installed wherever the concrete pavement is adjacent to a cement concrete traffic curb.
