Shingled polyethylene sheeting is placed over the slope and anchored using sandbags spaced at twenty feet on center with ropes or stakes, and two-by-two-inch by two-foot-six-inch wood stakes embedded a minimum of eighteen inches. The sheeting is buried and backfilled at the toe and top of the slope with compacted three-quarter-inch to one-and-one-half-inch washed gravel typical. Ropes are used in lieu of additional stakes on steeper slopes of one-half or steeper, or where indicated for use on plan. Sheeting must cover all bare soil on the slope, overlap a minimum of twelve inches, and place sandbag anchors in the center of the overlap.
