A steel base plate secures to a concrete foundation using half-inch diameter anchor bolts embedded eleven inches deep with a three-inch clear cover. The structural steel element connects to the base plate with a continuous weld all around. Non-shrink grout is placed beneath the base plate after leveling. A conduit passes vertically through the center of the base plate and routes through the concrete foundation.
