A manufactured catch basin insert with an adapter skirt measuring forty-eight inches by thirty-six inches installs directly beneath the catch basin grate. The insert features a central filtering pocket for sediment accumulation and an overflow bypass mechanism. A retrieval strap extends through the grate to facilitate maintenance and removal. The contractor must account for replacing inserts at least once during construction.
