An underground cleanout assembly connects to a horizontal sewer or storm drain line using a vertical wye and a forty-five degree elbow. A threaded cap or plug seals the top of the riser pipe within a valve box featuring a cast iron top and cover rated for H2O loading. A concrete or paver section collar surrounds the box, requiring ADA compliance when located in an accessible path of travel. Minimum cover requirements in traffic areas follow the 2015 Caltrans standard specifications.
