A 10-1/4 inch diameter concrete traffic box with cast iron cover marked anode is set flush with the finished grade inside a 3000 PSI concrete collar. The collar measures 6 inches deep with a 6-inch minimum extension and is reinforced with a number 4 rebar centered inside. The entire assembly bears on aggregate base per civil plans with a minimum depth of 24 inches. A terminal box connects to a 2-inch PVC pipe extending 12 inches below subgrade and a 3/4-inch PVC pipe, maintaining 18 inches of slack in the cables to allow removal of the terminal box from the test station.
