A six-inch Portland cement concrete curb of Class A mix is set atop a prepared subgrade with lime treatment per the geotechnical report. Asphalt concrete paving and base rock abut the street side of the curb, with a variable vertical dimension. A half-inch joint clearance or spacer is detailed adjacent to the paving course. Weepholes are required on all curbs and curb-and-gutter assemblies where landscaping slopes toward the curb, spaced at ten feet on center or at each scoreline.
