An accessible parking sign assembly consists of a twelve by eighteen inch Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices regulatory sign mounted on a three pounds per linear foot galvanized steel channel post embedded two feet into a concrete footing below finished grade. A six by twelve inch Van Accessible placard mounts six inches below the main sign with one inch of clearance between them. The post maintains a minimum height of five feet from finished grade to the bottom placard. Site installation notes require concrete wheel stops when the sign is placed within two feet of a curb and restrict the sign from projecting more than four inches past the post.
