A six-inch concrete wearing surface is placed over a six-inch untreated base course compacted per the geotechnical report and specifications. Below the base course, properly prepared native or subgrade soils and structural fill vary in depth and are compacted according to project specifications. The entire assembly bears upon undisturbed earth properly prepared to support the pavement structure.
