An expansion joint assembly bridges the junction between an elevator shaft wall and an exterior insulation finish system over a framed wall. The seismic or thermal movement joint is integrated into the wall construction with specialized joint profiles and seals. Insulation fills the framed wall cavity adjacent to the shaft.
