Ceiling and bracing wires are anchored directly to a steel roof deck topped with insulation and reinforced concrete. The first detail secures a vertical hanger wire to a number three by twelve-inch rebar positioned inside the steel deck rib, fastened with a wire-tie consisting of three wraps around the rebar and one wrap around the wire. The second detail anchors an inclined bracing wire using a three-inch wide by four-inch long twelve-gauge minimum steel strap bent to align with the wire, fastened to the steel deck rib with two number eight by one-half inch self-tapping screws. The bracing wire features four tight turns in one and one-half inches.
