The concrete slab-on-grade terminates at a tilt-up concrete monolithic panel with a one-inch joint-filler strip separating the two elements. Below the slab, a vapor retarder sits atop a drainage course. Extruded-polystyrene board insulation is installed vertically against the interior face of the tilt-up panel, extending below the slab edge. The slab edge is chamfered, transitioning from the slab surface to the insulation layer with a two-inch horizontal offset. Foil-faced polyisocyanurate board insulation is applied to the interior face of the tilt-up panel above the slab level.
