A continuous 54-mil track with one-and-a-half-inch deep flanges receives cold-formed steel studs sized and spaced per plan. At concrete over metal deck locations, the track is anchored using two zero-point-one-five-seven-inch diameter Hilti X-U fasteners with one-and-one-quarter-inch embedment at twelve inches on center maximum. At metal deck only conditions, the track is secured using two number-ten self-tapping sheet metal screws at twelve inches on center perpendicular to the flutes. A typical one-half-inch clearance is provided for deflection as required by structural engineering.
