An industrial galvanized metal ladder features an integral fall arrest rail and a safety gate at the platform level. The ladder is secured to ladder support columns and supplemented by additional supports provided by the ladder manufacturer as required. Steel grating forms the platform surface, maintaining a minimum 7-inch clearance and a 30-inch minimum width with equal spacing at the gate. A 1 1/2-inch tube forms the safety gate assembly at a typical height of 3 feet 6 inches above the platform level. Ladder rungs are spaced at 1 foot 0 inches typical, with support brackets occurring at 4-foot intervals.
