Steel guardrail and handrail post embedment into concrete landing slabs with associated dimensional and material callouts. Vertical steel pipes of one and a half inch diameter are spaced at six feet on center maximum and cored into concrete inserts using two-inch diameter by twelve-inch long steel pipes. Concrete landing pads feature reinforcing bars including number four bars at twenty-four inches at posts on each side, with a drain provided at the low point of the pad. Guardrail assemblies stand at forty-two inches high with multiple intermediate rails spaced at five and one-half inches, while handrail assemblies stand at thirty-six inches high. All steel elements are primed and painted per specifications with welds ground smooth, and exterior metals galvanized per structural requirements.
