A twelve-gauge steel ceiling clip measuring one and one-half inches by one and one-half inches by two inches wide is anchored to the bottom flange of a steel wide flange beam with three fasteners. A bracing wire connects to the ceiling clip and extends downward at a maximum one-half inch offset. Spray-applied fireproofing is applied to the beam where required.
