A double stud header connects to a vertical jamb stud for spans ranging from 8 feet to 12 feet. At the bottom track, the connection follows detail P except the web is cut flush with the jamb. The bottom of the head is welded to the jamb with a 1/8 inch fillet weld. Additional attachment refers to detail 23B at the bottom track.
