A storefront head section interfaces with an overhead structure using 3-5/8 inch metal studs and a 5/8 inch gypsum board finish. The head frame is shimmed and sealed against the partition using backer rod and sealant. A structural diagonal brace ties into the assembly at 32 inches on center.
