The wall assembly consists of twenty gauge metal studs spaced at sixteen inches on center with five-eighths inch gypsum board on each side and R-thirteen sound insulation. A continuous metal channel runner is anchored to the concrete floor slab with point two hundred seventy-seven inch power driven anchors at twenty-four inches on center. Electrical and phone boxes are staggered on each side of the studs typical. One hour fire-rated construction requires five-eighths inch Type X gypsum board over metal studs fastened with number six screws or six penny cooler nails at four inches on center typical.
