A galvanized and painted structural hollow structural section tube acts as a mechanical screen post, extending past a bolted connection at a welded cap plate to match a structural HSS stub. The HSS stub penetrates the sloped roof deck, which features a vapor barrier, rigid insulation, and a fully reinforced PMM resin waterproofing membrane lapped eight inches beyond penetrations to all sides. The perforated aluminum metal panel fastens to the face of the upper HSS tube with a six-inch clearance gap above the connection plate.
