Carpet finishes the tread and riser of the stair assembly, meeting at a 90-degree outer corner. A Roppe #16 double flange carpet stair nosing is installed at the edge to protect the carpet and provide a defined edge. The nosing features a 2-inch horizontal flange and a 1 1/4-inch vertical drop.
