A medium broom finish concrete truck apron features a thickened edge extending to the bottom of the base at natural grade with a tooled 1/2-inch radius edge. The concrete slab has a minimum 9-inch thickness and transitions directly to asphalt concrete paving over aggregate base over compacted soil per civil drawings and soils report. Natural grade or aggregate base lies beneath the concrete apron, supported by natural grade at the adjacent paving section.
