This interior wall detail shows a tile wainscot terminating against a painted wall finish using a continuous stainless steel Schluter Jolly transition strip. The assembly features scheduled framing covered with gypsum board and a P1 wall finish on the upper portion. Full tile is adhered to the lower substrate using tile thinset and finished with grout. Sealant is applied at the interface between the tile trim and the wall finish. The transition point is dimensioned relative to the scheduled ceiling height and reflected ceiling plan.
