A T-intersection between two metal stud partition walls maintains a continuous air and vapor barrier. Two layers of five-eighths-inch gypsum board carry through the intersection to ensure barrier integrity at the cold side of the wall. The assembly incorporates thermal insulation within the stud cavities and complies with Underwriters Laboratories design number U419. Refer to sheet A-61005 for additional framing and finish information.
