A six-inch high continuous twenty-gauge metal backing plate spans across twenty-gauge metal stud framing. Two number eight low-profile pan head sheet metal screws secure the plate at each stud location. This backing plate provides structural anchorage for toilet and bath accessories, telephones, bulletin boards, tack and marker boards, mirrors, and directories.
