Metal L-trim bead is installed at the intersection between the wall partition and the door frame, maintaining a maximum one-eighth inch clearance. Standard sealant is applied at the visible perimeter joint, while fire-rated sealant is placed deeper within the junction adjacent to the door frame. Two conditions, labeled A and B, illustrate the profile integration with surrounding gypsum board assemblies.
