A 362S137-33 minimum backing stud spans a minimum of two wall studs and is secured using a twelve gauge ceiling clip measuring one inch by one inch by three-quarters of an inch wide minimum. The ceiling clip attaches to the backing stud with one number ten by one-and-one-quarter-inch sheet metal screw. Two number ten by one-and-one-quarter-inch sheet metal screws fasten the backing stud to each wall stud.
