A twelve-gauge vertical hanger wire with four tight turns supports a suspended ceiling application where the load on each fastener exceeds ninety pounds. The wire connects to a one-inch by two-inch by twelve-gauge steel strap bent at a ninety-degree angle. This steel strap is anchored directly into a one-and-a-half-inch concrete over metal deck assembly using a powder-actuated Hilti X-U fastener with a one-and-a-quarter-inch minimum embedment per ESR-2269.
