A typical cold-formed steel stud connects to an overhead metal deck utilizing a slip track sized per requirements and secured with screws. A continuous plate spans two ribs of the metal deck and is anchored with screws on each side of the stud. Additional screws fasten the slip track and studs to the continuous metal plate as required.
