Storefront curtain wall system (CW-1) jamb condition at a framed wall opening. A minimum 22-gauge sheet metal closure flashing installs over a flashing prestrip and onto horizontal furring. The water-resistive barrier (WRB-1) laps from the face of the sheathing into the rough opening by a minimum of 2.75 inches, with a prestrip edge lapping onto the framing by at least 1 inch. A field-applied WRB-1 layer laps over the prestrip and sets in sealant per the manufacturer's instructions. The perimeter joint between the curtain wall frame and the wall assembly seals with an interior air barrier sealant and backer rod, tying into the continuous air barrier seal at the storefront perimeter. A 3/4-inch clearance is maintained at openings.
