A resilient transition edge guard is anchored over the edge of the carpeting where it meets an exposed concrete floor slab. The transition piece overlaps the carpet edge to secure it and prevent fraying while providing an accessible slope down to the concrete surface. The assembly sits directly on top of the structural concrete floor slab.
