A 1 1/2-inch outer diameter steel pipe cane railing is installed in cross-traffic areas where overhead hazards such as stair stringers occur below 6 feet 8 inches above finished floor clearance. The railing stands at a maximum height of 2 feet 3 inches above the finished floor and features 1 1/2-inch radius corners, with finish paint applied per schedule. The railing posts anchor into pipe sleeves set and grouted into the structural concrete floor slab.
