A tile joint assembly is anchored over a parapet wall backed by sixteen-gauge metal studs. A self-adhered flashing membrane covers the top of the parapet wall beneath a three-sixteenth-inch thick by four-inch long 304 stainless steel angle. The angle is secured to the studs using one-quarter-inch by fourteen Dril-Flex fasteners, with three fasteners per clip spaced at one and one-eighth inches on center. A fourteen-gauge, three-inch long 304 stainless steel plate connects into the joint alongside a dowel pin and backer rod. The exterior surface finishes with tile and is sealed with sealant across the joint.
