This interior floor detail transitions from carpet tile to tile directly beneath a door aligned with the partition above. A solid surface transition strip made of Natural Gray Corian bridges the two flooring materials. Carpet tile and tile are installed per the finish plan, maintaining a maximum one-quarter inch height tolerance across the junction. The entire assembly bears directly on the concrete slab.
