This assembly consists of concrete-filled metal pan treads supported by steel channel stringers. The treads feature a minimum eleven-inch depth with a two-inch typical concrete fill thickness, finished with smooth, rounded, or chamfered edges to meet California Building Code 11B-504.2-4 requirements for slip resistance. A closure plate is installed at the landing interface. Vertical picket guardrails are spaced at a maximum of four inches on center. The riser height is maintained between six and seven inches.
