A Fogtite number 25-TA concrete vault with locking steel hatches houses the water supply point of connection assembly below finish grade. A brass pipe from the gate valve enters the vault through a grouted opening, with all pipes wrapped in duct tape at grouted penetrations. Inside the vault, the brass piping connects to a double check valve via brass nipples and unions, maintaining a nine and thirteen-sixteenths inch clearance to the top and a one-foot clearance to the bottom. A manual drain valve, brass plug, and drainage rock beds underneath weep holes at both ends manage internal moisture. All piping between the pump and pressure reducing valve assembly and the double check valve is specified as brass with Teflon tape on all threaded fittings.
