A wide flange beam connects to a wide flange column using a shear plate on the near side and a doubler plate on the far side as sized per schedule. The connection utilizes one, two, or three rows of bolts through the beam web and shear plate, with specific no-weld areas designated near the top and bottom flanges. The doubler plate is welded to the beam web with specified dimensions for weld size and placement. Additional column extension and stiffeners occur where required by structural loads.
