An exterior door head assembly features a hollow metal door frame fully grouted solid and anchored to a concrete wall. The frame is secured using quarter-inch countersunk concrete expansion bolts with three per jamb and two at the head, with bolt head dimples filled with putty and ground smooth. A metal drip flashing sits at the exterior joint backed by sealant and a backer rod with a quarter-inch shim space. The interior side abuts a metal stud partition framing with a box beam header and king studs at the jamb, aligned on both sides with an angle stop welded to the door head.
