An aluminum entry door with a ten-inch minimum bottom rail rests above a half-inch high aluminum threshold set in mastic with a maximum one-to-two bevel and half-inch minimum height. The threshold bears against a half-inch expansion joint material adjacent to an interior concrete slab, while the exterior concrete walk slopes away at a maximum of two percent with a typical slope of one-quarter inch per twelve inches and a half-inch maximum drop. A weather seal is provided at the head and sill, accompanied by stops and weatherstripping. Above the door, an aluminum transom sill and jamb assembly accommodates glazing per specifications.
