Cold-formed steel framing connections for pre-engineered headers and sills frame at jamb studs. The assembly accommodates a maximum of eleven feet of wall above the header. Connection details feature pre-engineered headers and headers with inserts attached to jamb studs using clip angles and number ten sheet metal screws, varied in count for four-inch and six-inch studs. A typical sill to jamb connection features a one and a half by one and a half inch by sixteen gauge steel angle secured with number ten sheet metal screws.
