A one-and-a-half-inch painted steel pipe handrail is welded to a painted steel bracket support. The bracket is secured to the wall with a painted steel bolt and standard washer. Continuous backing for the rail is installed behind the gypsum board, with track coped at the stud. The handrail maintains a two-and-a-quarter-inch clear distance from the wall face and is positioned at a maximum height of three feet zero inches to the top of the nosing at the stair.
