The stair railing transition assembly consists of one-and-a-half-inch by one-and-a-half-inch hollow structural section steel tube railings and a one-and-a-quarter-inch nominal pipe size schedule forty minimum steel pipe handrail. A five-eighths-inch diameter steel bar support bracket attaches at each vertical post, which is fabricated from one-and-a-half-inch by one-and-a-half-inch hollow structural section steel tubing spaced at a maximum of forty-eight inches on center unless otherwise noted. All stair railing connections and intersections are welded and ground smooth. The assembly fastens to a steel channel stringer with clear spacing between rails maintained at less than four inches and all divisions equal. Standard dimensions include a three-foot-six-inch overall height and an eleven-inch tread depth unless otherwise noted.
