An HSS hanger is suspended below a supporting beam sized per plan using a WT7x17 structural tee. The WT section is welded to the beam with quarter-inch fillet welds on both sides. Three-eighths-inch full-height stiffener plates are installed on each side of the beam web. A three-eighths-inch base plate is welded to the bottom of the HSS hanger. A shear tab sized per schedule is welded to the side of the HSS hanger with a quarter-inch fillet weld.
