An exterior hollow metal door threshold is seated in a concrete floor slab that slopes down half an inch over a distance of twenty-four inches away from the door. The hollow metal door frame extends one inch below the finish floor level, resting against an exterior concrete apron separated by a half-inch expansion joint. A tooled edge is provided at the concrete interface along with a weather sweep at all exterior doors. A callout indicates the actual required shape of the threshold transition conforming to California Building Code Section 1008.1 requirements.
