A security door jamb assembly features a detention door frame constructed from twelve-gauge galvanized channel with one-inch by three-inch grout openings spaced twelve inches on center. The frame is secured using plug welds within five-sixteenths-inch by one-half-inch plug weld slots spaced six inches on center, with a typical one-eighth-inch weld size. Adhered perimeter compressive acoustic seals are scored at twelve-inch lengths to allow for ease of maintenance and replacement. A low-voltage security locking mechanism housing is provided where required per specifications. The adjacent core is held back three-quarters of an inch minimum, not to exceed one and one-half inches.
