This flooring detail connects carpet to tile over a concrete or topping slab using a Schluter-SCHIENE transition profile. The carpet meets the metal transition strip with a one-quarter inch minimum thickness as specified in the finish schedule. The tile is set in grout adjacent to the other side of the transition strip. Both flooring materials are selected per the finish schedule and installed directly over the structural slab.
