A door bottom seal is fitted to the bottom rail of a door above the finished floor level, maintaining specified clearances. The ends of the shoe and the latch side are rounded and smoothed to eliminate exposed sharp edges. A one-inch vertical clearance is maintained between the bottom seal and the two-inch dimensioned reference above the finished floor.
