The assembly establishes the required horizontal positioning for grab bars at an accessible water closet. A minimum of 36 inches is required for the total length of the rear grab bar, centered on the water closet centerline. The rear grab bar must extend at least 24 inches minimum from the centerline toward the transfer side and at least 12 inches minimum from the centerline toward the side wall.
